About The Role:

As an Electrical Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our project delivery. You will work closely with the Project Manager as well as a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to deliver projects while ensuring that all client specifications are met by accurately developing and executing Leo Lynch's project quality plans.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop quality inspection plans that are project-specific, meet the employer's requirements, and adhere to country-specific regulations for electrical works.
  2. Lead the quality ethos for projects through a 'Right First Time' approach. This includes delivering training, quality toolbox talks, developing and approving 'First of a Kind' mock-ups, and conducting audits and QA initiatives.
  3. Lead the Quality team, including Field QA, Test Pack Engineers, NDT Specialists, and Commissioning & Handover Supervisors.
  4. Oversee the applicable Leo Lynch database for each project, ensuring it is kept up-to-date and accurate to enable the delivery of handover documentation to the client.
  5. Review benchmarks and 'First of a Kind' installations.
  6. Oversee the development of system and equipment test packs using Project Quality Management Software on a project-by-project basis.
  7. Liaise with the client regarding handover documentation, system handover, and tagging dates.
  8. Coordinate with construction teams regarding handover dates, scheduling walk-downs, developing snag lists, etc.
  9. Monitor snag trends and address them through construction teams.
  10. Review installations for compliance with Leo Lynch's specific Quality Plan & ITPs, project standards, specifications, procedures, and expectations.
  11. Oversee third-party inspections and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  12. Ensure QA requirements are met by subcontractors.
  13. Conduct regular site quality audits.
  14. Attend quality meetings with management and subcontractors and report on quality as required.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering.
  • An electrical trade background would be advantageous.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and schematics is essential.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office systems and Quality software.
  • A demonstrated appetite for continuous learning and personal development.
