Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead and deliver a range of electrical/M&E projects in Leicester. The role will manage project activities from pre-construction through handover, with regular site visits and strong client communication.

You will coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and procurement while maintaining programme and budget. A proactive manager will ensure health & safety compliance and successful project outcomes across commercial and industrial

Qualifications

• Proven experience of managing electrical/M&E projects in a commercial environment.
• Management of multiple projects up to £1M+ (M&E).
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, power, lighting, containment, fire alarm and data.
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specs.
• Effective planning and project management with cost awareness.
• Good people management and motivational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• SMSTS, SSSTS and Gold CSCS cards or equivalent.

Responsibilities

A Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Contractor is looking for a proactive Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team in Leicester. The role will involve managing and delivering a range of electrical projects with MEP project values up to approximately £1.5M while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities

• Managing electrical projects from pre-construction through to completion and final handover, based from the office with regular site visits as required.
• Planning and coordinating labour, materials, plant, subcontractors and procurement.
• Managing site teams and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Monitoring project costs, variations and financial performance to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
• Carrying out regular site visits, quality inspections and progress meetings.
• Ensuring compliance with all current health & safety legislation and electrical industry standards.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Producing project reports and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure a smooth electrical handover to the client and provide aftercare support.
• Assist with tender and quotes preparation.

Qualifications and experience

• Proven experience of working within a similar commercial environment including electrical installations and project management on projects up to £1M + (M&E).
• Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods including LV distribution, power, lighting, containment, emergency lighting, fire alarm and data.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously from inception through to completion.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to deliver projects within budget.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Effective planning and project management skills.
• Good people management and motivational skills.
• The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
• The ability to plan, co-ordinate and prioritise workloads.
• Valid SMSTS, SSSTS, Gold CSCS Skills Card.
• Relevant electrical industry qualifications.
