Job summary

Bimplus in Lincoln is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead M&E projects from bid to completion. You will organise materials, subcontractors and programmes, coordinating with consultants, clients and senior management to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

  • SMSTS, CSCS skills card and relevant industry qualification must be held.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing electrical projects up to £10m (M&E).
  • Effective planning and project management skills.
  • Experience with Building Services Contractors at a similar level.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of electrical systems and installation methods.
  • Strong focus on achieving financial returns on projects.
  • Good people management and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, co-ordinate, and prioritise workloads.
  • Strong results orientation.

  • Manage materials, labour, sub-contractors, installation, procurement and drawings to match installation and specs.
  • Lead the project team and coordinate with consultants, senior management, contractors and clients.
  • Oversee HSE compliance with support from HSE Manager.
  • Resolve installation and access issues.
  • Prepare and submit technical documents.
  • Manage procurement and assist with costings.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to meet standards and client specs.
  • Complete and submit as-installed documentation.

A national M&E Contractor are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to join their expanding team with a strong pipeline of projects in Lincoln. The company provides M&E services to a wide range of clients and businesses across a multitude of sectors including HMP, MOD, Commercial, Education and Healthcare. These projects are typically valued up to £10M.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the projects are completed according to schedule and budget, undertaking effective planning.
  • Manage materials, labour, sub-contractors, installation, procurement and drawing programmes to accord with installation and specification requirements.
  • Leading the project team and coordinating with consultants, senior management, contractors, and clients.
  • Oversee working practices, ensuring compliance with HSE policies with support from H&S Manager.
  • Resolving installation and access issues.
  • Completion and submission of technical submissions
  • Financial management of projects, including procurement and assisting with costings.
  • Preparation of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks ensuring all works meets industry standards, regulations and client’s specifications.
  • Completion and submission of as-installed documentation.
Qualifications and experience
  • You will have SMSTS, CSCS skills card and relevant industry qualification.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing electrical projects up to £10m (M&E).
  • Effective planning and project management skills.
  • Working for a Building Services Contractor at a similar level.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of electrical systems and their installation methods.
  • Consistently good financial returns on projects, considering all relevant factors.
