Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland, a leading facilities management company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to design, plan and drive minor site refurbishments and equipment installations. You will prepare specifications, manage tenders and budgets, and coordinate consultants and contractors to completion and invoicing.

The role requires proven project management of building services, strong HSE/CDM knowledge and hands-on leadership in a supervisory environment. NVQ4 or equivalent is expected.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management of building services and site refurbishments.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and CDM requirements.
  • Ability to prepare specifications and manage tender processes in line with policy.
  • Experience in budget preparation and ongoing cost control for projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering service to design, plan and project manage minor site refurbishments and equipment installations.
  • Prepare specifications briefs in consultation with staff.
  • Tender works in line with Procurement Policy.
  • Manage quotation submissions to client and approvals/purchase orders.
  • Prepare budget costs and ongoing budgetary control.
  • Appoint and manage consultants and other specialist contractors.
  • Manage work through to completion and invoicing.
  • Ensure RAMS are in place and adhered to whether work is subcontracted or in-house.
  • Manage projects from input to design specification, tender, installation to commissioning and handover.
  • Maintain records for client audits and invoicing.
  • Oversee Health and Safety matters (CDM) per procedures and legislation.

About you
  • Proven experience in Project Management
  • Proven track record to the successful delivery of multi task building services related projects
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices
  • Hold sufficient Health and Safety (CDM) experience that allows the effective running of projects.
  • To have a minimum engineering qualification of NVQ level 4 or equivalent.
  • Good, knowledge of Management disciplines in Electrical works
  • Have experience in a Supervisory environment with Electrical works as a component responsibility.
  • Be commercially aware and have a sound knowledge of budget preparation, negotiation and management.
  • Have good people management, leadership, decision-making and communications skills.
