Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the Projects team, ensure electrical installations meet current regulations, and manage the programme efficiently. The role requires strong leadership, hands-on electrical knowledge, and ability to coordinate with PM and site teams.

Qualifications include City & Guilds 2360, 18th Edition, and 2391 testing; experience with commercial electrical installations and LV distribution is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Projects team through effective communication, training and development, ensuring staff are competent and trained to undertake tasks.
• Support and assist with the electrical installation and ensure the SOR and drawings are followed.
• Develop RAMS for the work to be carried out.
• Assist in capturing extra works and producing SORs for variations.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure Eskills are completed on site.
• Develop partnerships with suppliers to maximise mutual benefit and rationalise supplier database.
• Identify training gaps and work with admin to close them.

About The Role

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

You will ensure that the delivery of electrical aspects are delivered in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all of our customer/s. Ensuring the installations are to current regulations and to be able to work as a team member and manage the team and programme efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• To lead and develop the Projects team through effective communication, training and development, ensuring that the staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake key tasks.
• To support & managed with the PM the electrical installation and to ensure the SOR and associated drawings are followed.
• To develop RAMS for the work to be carried out.
• To work with the PM to ensure all extra works are captured and to assist in the production of additional SOR's for variations as requested.
• To support the safe working practices are followed and that the site teams Eskills are completed.
• To develop partnerships with our suppliers to achieve maximum mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database.
• To identify any shortfalls in training with the operatives and to work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed.

Essential Criteria

• Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 -10 18th Edition, minimum requirements
• C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing
• C&G 2391-20 Design & Verification preferred, this or an equivalent will be provided to enable the QS role to be fulfilled.
• Experience of commercial electrical installations.
• Experience of installation of LV distribution systems.
• Experience of DC /UPS system is not essential but is advantageous.
• Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems.
