Manage the Company's resources to achieve successful project outcomes, ensuring technical, commercial, safety, and client satisfaction standards are met.
What you will be doing
- Manage all Engineering Services activities in accordance with the company's IPCD.
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of projects following the company IPCD.
- Oversee all Engineering Services activities aligned with the Project Process Document.
- Manage project resources daily and report staff issues as needed.
- Handle project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
- Identify client requirements and ensure delivery to their satisfaction.
- Represent the company in internal or external matters.
- Develop detailed plans and procedures for project administration and ensure team adherence.
- Ensure timely upstream and downstream project reporting.
- Conduct regular project audits for compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with the project team on project-specific and company initiatives.
- Manage project cash flow to remain positive throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee procurement to achieve the best value for Engineering Services.
- Identify and mitigate project risks through appropriate actions.
What we will need from you
- HVAC and electrical expertise.
- Experience managing project teams to complete within budget and schedule.
- Proficiency in programme production and management.
- Ability to interpret specifications.
- Resolve technical queries during contracts.
- Experience managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
- Assist in managing variation accounts and preparing monthly applications.
- Construction management and coordination with supervision teams.
- Site operations including installation and commissioning.
- Maintain good client and professional team relationships.
- Stakeholder engagement and management.
- Control of contract costs and variations.
- Implement value engineering to achieve cost savings.
- Coordinate M&E Services installations.
- Ensure health and safety compliance, including method statements and risk assessments.
- Compile and present Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
- Experience with contracts valued at £2m and above.
- Healthcare industry experience.
Skills and Qualifications
- BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering (preferable).
- BTEC HND or HNC Building Services (essential).
- IOSH Managing Safely (preferable).
- CSCS card (essential).
- SMSTS certification (preferable).
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
