Job description

The Opportunity

Manage the Company's resources to achieve successful project outcomes, ensuring technical, commercial, safety, and client satisfaction standards are met.

What you will be doing

  1. Manage all Engineering Services activities in accordance with the company's IPCD.
  2. Ensure the safe and efficient execution of projects following the company IPCD.
  3. Oversee all Engineering Services activities aligned with the Project Process Document.
  4. Manage project resources daily and report staff issues as needed.
  5. Handle project commercial issues and cost reporting (WIP).
  6. Identify client requirements and ensure delivery to their satisfaction.
  7. Represent the company in internal or external matters.
  8. Develop detailed plans and procedures for project administration and ensure team adherence.
  9. Ensure timely upstream and downstream project reporting.
  10. Conduct regular project audits for compliance.
  11. Maintain regular communication with the project team on project-specific and company initiatives.
  12. Manage project cash flow to remain positive throughout the project lifecycle.
  13. Oversee procurement to achieve the best value for Engineering Services.
  14. Identify and mitigate project risks through appropriate actions.

What we will need from you

  1. HVAC and electrical expertise.
  2. Experience managing project teams to complete within budget and schedule.
  3. Proficiency in programme production and management.
  4. Ability to interpret specifications.
  5. Resolve technical queries during contracts.
  6. Experience managing procurement, labour, and sub-contractors.
  7. Assist in managing variation accounts and preparing monthly applications.
  8. Construction management and coordination with supervision teams.
  9. Site operations including installation and commissioning.
  10. Maintain good client and professional team relationships.
  11. Stakeholder engagement and management.
  12. Control of contract costs and variations.
  13. Implement value engineering to achieve cost savings.
  14. Coordinate M&E Services installations.
  15. Ensure health and safety compliance, including method statements and risk assessments.
  16. Compile and present Operating & Maintenance Manuals.
  17. Experience with contracts valued at £2m and above.
  18. Healthcare industry experience.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering (preferable).
  2. BTEC HND or HNC Building Services (essential).
  3. IOSH Managing Safely (preferable).
  4. CSCS card (essential).
  5. SMSTS certification (preferable).
  6. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel.
