The Opportunity
Having secured several new contracts, this leading M&E Contractor is recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager with strong technical skills and commercial understanding to work with blue-chip clients across sectors such as MOJ, Hospitals, Educational, and Commercial projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Negotiating and developing project contracts with clients
- Organising and reviewing sub-contractors and suppliers
- Working with detailed diagrams, plans, and drawings, and completing all project paperwork
- Managing and forecasting project spend to ensure budgets are maintained
- Overseeing installations and specifying maintenance and operating procedures
- Monitoring systems and processes in accordance with QHS&E and ISO standards
- Liaising with project stakeholders
- Attending and contributing to project meetings
- Ensuring installations comply with HS&E and CDM2015 requirements, including checks
- Ensuring personnel are competent and qualified for their roles
- Providing professional reports and feedback to clients and the company within deadlines
Additional duties may include:
- Participating in dispute or claim situations, providing evidence and information
- Engaging in training, development, and workforce consultation activities
- Performing project-specific duties as required, remaining flexible and responsive
Person Specification
- Experience in Electrical Engineering/Building Services
- Excellent HS&E knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and Project
- Successful track record in similar projects
- Flexible work approach, including occasional out-of-hours work
- Willingness to travel within the UK
- Reliable work history, motivated
