RGB Recruitment seeks an Electrical Project Manager to lead a varied portfolio of electrical schemes across Exeter–Plymouth. The role blends office and site duties, from pre-construction through commissioning and handover, with strong focus on safety, programme, and budget control.

• Minimum 5 years in Electrical PM within M&E/building services.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services installations.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets, costs and variations.
• Experience managing projects in education, healthcare or commercial buildings.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contracts.
• Experience producing and managing project programmes using Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong organizational, communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
• SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
• BTEC, HNC or HND in electrical/building services-related discipline advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Managing electrical projects from initial pre-construction through to completion and final client handover.

• Checking electrical design drawings, identifying issues and exploring value engineering opportunities.
• Attending client, progress and design team meetings and providing updates.
• Preparing, managing and monitoring contract programmes to meet timescales.
• Producing regular progress reports for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Managing procurement of plant, materials and equipment per specifications and cost plans.
• Identifying, procuring and managing subcontractors to meet quality and commercial targets.
• Monitoring project costs, preparing forecasts and maintaining financial control.
• Coordinating installation activities with site teams to maintain progress.
• Overseeing testing, commissioning and handover documentation.

RGB Recruitment seeks an Electrical Project Manager for a full-time post based from the Devon office, overseeing schemes across the Exeter to Plymouth region. The successful candidate will join an established M&E contractor and take responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of electrical projects in the education, healthcare and commercial sectors, including new-build and refurbishment or fit-out work. Operating between office and sites, the Electrical Project Manager will own each scheme from pre-construction and design development through to installation, commissioning and final handover. Strong leadership, commercial awareness and a solid grasp of electrical installation are essential, alongside the ability to manage safety, programme and budget. Salary is competitive and negotiable. Electrical Project Manager Location: Devon (Exeter – Plymouth).

The Role & Responsibilities

• Managing electrical projects from initial pre-construction stages through to completion and final client handover.
• Overseeing pre-construction design activities, reviewing technical information and ensuring designs are suitable for installation.
• Checking electrical design drawings, identifying potential issues and exploring opportunities for value engineering and cost efficiencies.
• Attending client, progress and design team meetings, providing updates and resolving project-related issues.
• Preparing, managing and monitoring contract programmes, ensuring works are delivered against agreed timescales.
• Producing regular progress reports and keeping clients and internal stakeholders informed.
• Managing the procurement of plant, materials and equipment in line with specifications, drawings and project cost plans.
• Identifying, procuring and managing subcontractors, ensuring quality, programme and commercial expectations are met.
• Monitoring project costs, preparing cost forecasts and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identifying, recording and costing variations, ensuring these are properly managed and agreed.
• Coordinating installation activities and working closely with site teams to maintain project progress.
• Overseeing testing, commissioning and the preparation of all necessary documentation ahead of final handover.

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 5 years' experience in an Electrical Project Management role within the M&E/building services sector.
• A strong technical understanding of electrical building services installations.
• Good commercial awareness, with the ability to manage project budgets, costs and variations.
• Experience managing projects within sectors such as education, healthcare or commercial buildings.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
• Experience producing and managing project programmes using Asta Powerproject and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong organisational, communication and client-facing skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects through to successful completion.
• SMSTS or an equivalent site management qualification.
