Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical packages on a long-term commercial development. You will oversee site teams, manage budgets, and ensure safe, on-time completion with high quality standards.

The role requires a strong background in commercial electrical installations, detailed drawings review, and coordination with clients and main contractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
• Extensive background in commercial electrical installations and large-scale projects.
• Proven track record delivering from inception to completion.
• Experience managing Electrical Site Managers, subcontractors and teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, specs and technical requirements.
• Budgeting, procurement, variations and valuations experience.
• Familiar with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred).
• SMSTS certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full delivery of electrical packages on a large commercial project.
• Oversee Electrical Site Managers, supervisors, subcontractors and installation teams.
• Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and resources.
• Coordinate labour, materials and subcontractor requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Liaise with the client, main contractor, consultants and stakeholders.
• Monitor progress and achieve key milestones.
• Manage variations, valuations and commercial aspects of the package.
• Ensure compliance with electrical regs and health & safety standards.
• Oversee QA, inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular updates.
• Manage handover and ensure documentation is completed.

We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team on a long-term commercial project in Birmingham.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Electrical Project Manager looking for consistent, long-term work on a major commercial development, with the potential for ongoing opportunities and the chance to become part of an established project team.

The Role

You will take responsibility for the overall management and delivery of electrical packages, overseeing projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will ensure all electrical works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

• Experience managing Electrical Site Managers, subcontractors and installation teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Experience managing project budgets, procurement, variations and valuations.
• Excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations and health and safety standards.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred).
• SMSTS certification.
• Strong understanding of project programmes and commercial project delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects within tight deadlines.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.

Desirable

• Experience delivering large-scale commercial developments.
• Background in commercial fit-out, CAT A/CAT B, office refurbishment or M&E projects.
• Experience working alongside Tier 1 main contractors
