Job summary

Bimplus is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take ownership of the full electrical scope on a flagship data centre project in Blyth, England. You will oversee installation, coordination, commissioning, and handover, leading subcontractors, engineers, and site teams to meet safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering large-scale electrical projects, preferably within data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities are essential.
• Experience managing subcontractors, multidisciplinary teams, and project budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical installation activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead delivery from design through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate electrical design, submissions, and construction with internal teams and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, and progress against programme requirements.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, look-ahead plans, and milestones.
• Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and resources for efficient delivery.
• Engage with clients, consultants, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain communication.
• Lead and mentor electrical engineers, package managers, supervisors, and site teams.
• Ensure works comply with Health & Safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Review and approve project documentation, progress reports, and submissions.
• Manage variations, risks, delays, and change control processes.
• Chair weekly coordination meetings with project stakeholders.
