Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to design electrical control systems for special purpose machinery. The role requires hands-on involvement with SCADA systems and Allen Bradley PLCs, plus travel for installation and commissioning in the UK and abroad.

You will contribute to the development from concept through to on-site commissioning, collaborate with production teams, and support testing to resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience of system and subsystem design.
• Experience with SCADA control systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Familiarity with multi-axis motion control and process controls.
• Experience of EPLAN for circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control systems for special purpose machinery.
• Travel for installation and commissioning of equipment in the UK and abroad.
• Support production to resolve workshop queries.
• Support test as problems are identified.
