Job summary

Ganymede Solutions in Sheffield is seeking a hands-on Project Engineer to drive electrical and control system projects from workshop to site.

You will build and commission panels, program PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and support mechanical installations, with UK travel and occasional international work. A strong background in electrical control systems and a driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Electrical HNC or equivalent required.
• Hands-on experience wiring, building and testing control panels.
• Experience programming PLCs across Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi.
• Willingness to travel UK sites and occasional international work.
• Strong reading of electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, terminate, test and fault-find electrical control panels.
• Program PLC systems across Siemens, Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical docs.
• Support mechanical installation, site commissioning and handover.
• Take ownership of project delivery, timelines and supplier coordination.
• Provide aftercare and on-site support across UK projects.
