Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd in Cambridge is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to design electrical control systems for special purpose machinery. The role requires hands-on involvement with SCADA systems and Allen Bradley PLCs, plus travel for installation and commissioning in the UK and abroad.

You will contribute to the development from concept through to on-site commissioning, collaborate with production teams, and support testing to resolve issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience of system and subsystem design.
• Experience with SCADA control systems and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Familiarity with multi-axis motion control and process controls.
• Experience of EPLAN for circuit design.

Polytec are looking for an Electrical Project Engineer for our client based in south Cambridgeshire. You will be designing electrical control systems for special purpose machinery requiring experience with SCADA control systems and Allen Bradley PLCs. This is a hands‑on role requiring travel for installation and commissioning of equipment, both in the UK and abroad.
