Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of the project team, your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing the project estimate or tender to understand the scope, requirements, risks, and deliverables as outlined by the client.
- Planning and allocating resources to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project delivery.
- Sharing relevant project information, including contract terms, specifications, technical drawings, and company policies, with the delivery team.
- Leading, supporting, and developing the team to maintain high morale and positive relationships.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with the client, understanding construction responsibilities, and seeking opportunities for contract growth.
- Overseeing the production of engineering, installation, and design documentation, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, client standards, and statutory requirements.
- Managing procurement, materials, and cost control, and contributing to schedules and financial reports.
- Ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-compliant installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly progress updates.
- Supporting safety, quality, and financial audits, and helping implement improvements.
- Providing data-backed feedback on project performance to support future tenders.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A solid background in electrical engineering, preferably with rail project experience.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred; a minimum of an ONC (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Proven management experience within construction or support services industries, with strong technical knowledge of rail and cabling sectors.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Hands-on experience with traction power supply systems, especially within the London Underground or wider rail network.
