Job summary

NRL Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to support the delivery of projects at Sizewell B Power Station in Leiston, UK. This role involves working within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will collaborate with the client, Project Manager, and multidisciplinary teams to manage planning, cost control, risk, and reporting, while supporting safety case development

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering complex multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Experience in highly regulated or safety-critical industries.
• Strong understanding of project management, delivery, QA, and commercial management.
• Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• APMP qualification (or equivalent) and Chartered Engineer status desirable.
• Nuclear or power generation sector experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering activities throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project planning, cost control, risk management, quality requirements, and programme delivery.
• Support Safety Case development and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental, and CDM regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, business cases, and funding/sanction documentation.
• Support commercial and contractual aspects of project delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project execution.
