Job summary

Adepto Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join a Harwich-based manufacturing site in Essex to lead electrical projects from design through commissioning.

You will manage plans, budgets and suppliers, design electrical/control systems, and ensure compliance with COMAH and safety standards. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Experience delivering electrical/EC&I projects.
• COMPEX is desirable but not essential.
• Right to Work in the UK required.

Electrical Project Engineer - Essex - COMAH Site

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their engineering team at their Harwich manufacturing site.

The role will involve managing and delivering electrical projects from design through to commissioning, while also being technically involved in the delivery of the work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical, control and plant modification projects through to commissioning.
• Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, contractors and suppliers.
• Design and specify electrical, control and process systems.
• Prepare technical specifications, drawings and commissioning documentation.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, SHEQ and Maintenance teams.
• Ensure projects comply with COMAH, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Support Management of Change and safe modification of existing plant.

Requirements

Experience with:

• 415V / LV electrical systems
• Electrical design, maintenance and testing
• 18th Edition
• Hazardous areas / EN 60079
• Instrumentation and intrinsically safe circuits
• Risk assessments and method statements
• Management of Change
• Project handover and commissioning
• AutoCAD and CMMS systems

Industry Experience

COMAH / chemical manufacturing experience is desirable, but candidates from other industrial or regulated environments will be considered, including:

• Oil & Gas
• Power Generation
• Pharmaceutical
• Heavy Industry
• Process Manufacturing
