Job summary

rexx systems GmbH is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join the Harwich Manufacturing Centre. You will manage electrical, instrumentation and control system projects from design through to commissioning, ensuring safe operation of plant and equipment.

The role requires experience with HV/LV systems, hazardous areas, COMAH regulations and PLC/DCS control. You will coordinate with production, maintenance and suppliers to deliver robust engineering solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience designing and modifying electrical, control and process systems.
  • Knowledge of COMAH regulations and related EC&I engineering responsibilities.
  • Design experience for HV/LV systems, 18th edition and hazardous areas (EN60079).
  • Experience with PLC/DCS control and field instrumentation; risk assessment and method statements.

  • Design and specify electrical, control and process systems, including hazardous area requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, calculations, validation and commissioning documentation.
  • Manage project plans, resources, budgets, schedules, contractors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate with production, operations, SHEQ, maintenance and suppliers to deliver safe engineering solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with COMAH, site safety procedures, regulatory requirements and company systems.

Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, diligent and experienced individual to join our engineering team here at our Harwich site. This is an exciting opportunity to join as an Electrical Project Engineer joining a highly skilled team.

The Electrical Project Engineer will be an integral member of the Engineering team with a view to manage electrical, instrumentation and control system projects at the Harwich Manufacturing Centre. To deliver safe and reliable operation and modification of new and existing plant and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical, control and plant modification projects from design through to commissioning.
  • Design and specify electrical, control and process systems, including hazardous area requirements.
  • Prepare technical specifications, drawings, calculations, validation and commissioning documentation.
  • Manage project plans, resources, budgets, schedules, contractors and suppliers.
  • Work with production, operations, SHEQ, maintenance, suppliers and contractors to deliver safe and effective engineering solutions.
  • Ensure all work complies with COMAH, site safety procedures, regulatory requirements and company management systems.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience of working within defined Environmental, Health & Safety procedures
  • Understanding of the COMAH Regulations and management of EC&I Engineering with regards to COMAH
  • Design Experience of electrical systems maintenance and testing including HV, LV, 18th edition, and hazardous areas to EN60079.
  • Experience of PLC and DCS control and field instrumentation including intrinsically safe circuits.
  • Technical knowledge and planning skills including assessment of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Experience of management of change.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, maintenance management system, project handover documentation, operator and maintenance training
