Job Title : Electrical Project Engineer

Location : We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our Projects team here at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales. This is a Days based role.

Your future team :

You will become part of the Project Engineering team here at ROCKWOOL UK. You will report into the Project Manager and will work closely alongside other Project Engineers on site.

What you bring :

• Qualified to Degree/HND/HNC level in Electrical Engineering
• Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment, preferably a medium to heavy industrial environment
• Strong technical background with good understanding of other engineering and trade disciplines
• Proficient with ELCAD and EPLAN, Siemens S7/TIA Programming, Lenze Servo applications
• An understanding of Project Management principles
• A flexible and responsive approach to problem solving
• Demonstratable Project Management experience
• Previous experience with contractor management
  
  
  

What you will be doing :

• Working alongside the Mechanical & Electrical Project Engineers to deliver all projects on time, within specification and on budget
• Planning projects which includes capturing and maintaining electrical documentation on each project
• Assisting the Project Manager in developing a project scope, budget and timeline for each investment project
• Collaborating with stakeholders including multi-disciplined engineering teams, vendors and contractors
• Producing and maintaining process and electrical drawings using AutoCAD
• Tracking the costs for all electrical activities in each project
• Identifying and supervising electrical resources for each project
• Maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders and departments that may be effected by electrical work
• Ensuring risk assessments and method statements are in place of each task
• Deputising as required for the Project Manager in their absence
• Managing any contractor activities on site in relation with projects
