Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager
A market-leading MEP contractor business is looking to hire their next diligent Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager to win new work from existing clients. The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project win, incentivized by a generous bonus structure.
Responsibilities:
- Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and manage the process through to pricing and project win.
- Monitoring and reviewing tender documentation from subcontractor businesses.
- Ensuring all tenders are robust and competitive.
- Liaising with clients and subcontractors to ensure tender stages run efficiently.
- Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and helping coordinate tenders with internal teams.
- Developing relationships with new and existing clients.
- Designing and sizing mechanical equipment ready for tender.
- Maintaining company standards regarding quality.
- Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a building services environment.
- Relevant qualification in the building services/electrical industry.
- Ability to multi-task and review multiple project tenders.
- Knowledge of electrical systems design and installation.
- Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and/or Sub-Contractor.
- Strong communication skills, both internal and external.
- Experience working with subcontractors and managing them effectively.
