Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager

A market-leading MEP contractor is seeking to hire a diligent Electrical Pre-Contracts Manager to secure new work from existing clients. The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project acquisition, incentivized by a generous bonus structure.

Responsibilities:

1. Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and manage processes through to pricing and project acquisition.
2. Monitoring and reviewing tender documentation from subcontractors.
3. Ensuring all tenders are robust and competitive.
4. Coordinating with clients and subcontractors to ensure efficient tender stages.
5. Reporting to the Commercial Manager and assisting in tender coordination with internal teams.
6. Developing relationships with new and existing clients.
7. Designing and sizing mechanical equipment for tender submissions.
8. Maintaining company standards of quality.
9. Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal teams.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a building services environment.
• Relevant qualification in the building services/electrical industry.
• Ability to review multiple project tenders simultaneously.
• Knowledge of electrical systems design and installation.
• Strong commercial understanding of M&E contracting, both as Principal and Sub-Contractor.
• Excellent communication skills internally and externally.
• Experience working with and managing subcontractors effectively.
