Job summary

Astute People is recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to support decommissioning projects at Hartlepool Power Station. The role offers salary up to £65,000, a benefits package, and the chance to work on technically challenging projects within the nuclear sector.

Permanent and contract options are considered. You will lead electrical project delivery, engage with DNOs and National Grid, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance in live environments.

Qualifications

• Formal Project Management qualification (APM PMQ, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing electrical engineering or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear, energy, or heavy industry.
• Experience managing electrical systems or electrical interfaces would be highly advantageous.
• A relevant engineering, STEM, or project management qualification would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical engineering projects, managing scope, programme, budget, and stakeholder requirements.
• Act as the key interface between project teams, contractors, and external electrical stakeholders.
• Manage electrical infrastructure activities, including installation, commissioning, modifications, and maintenance works.
• Coordinate electrical works within live and regulated environments, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, permits, and industry standards.
• Manage interfaces with network stakeholders, ensuring project requirements, connections, and technical requirements are delivered successfully.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Produce project reports and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
