Job Description:

The Electrical Panel Wirer / Electrical Assembler roles are critical, based within an expanding Engineering division of Royal Mail. Their responsibility is to wire control panels according to electrical specification diagrams. They will be expected to build control panels from scratch, including mounting trunking, DIN rails, and electrical components. They should be able to follow electrical diagrams and use ferrules, heat shrink, and cable markings as per circuit schematic requirements.

The role is best suited to individuals with practical, hands-on experience building electrical panels, wiring motors, power supplies, PLCs, and other electrical components.

Working Hours: 8am-4.30pm

• Drive a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
• Responsible for the productivity (OPR) of control panels in line with the production schedule.
• Able to follow test scripts to identify and correct defects and rework as necessary.
• Work closely with fellow Electrical Panel Wirers as a team.
• Construct and test electrical control panels.
• Demonstrate tangible performance improvements through reading and following plans, introducing process improvements, and influencing across all levels of the business.
• Apply problem-solving skills, including advanced problem analysis and root cause analysis.
