To assemble and wire electrical control panels in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and company standards, ensuring all work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and wire control panels from technical drawings and work instructions.
- Identify and report any issues that may affect production, quality, or project timelines.
- Ensure components, wiring, and panel layouts are installed correctly and in line with specifications.
- Communicate effectively with managers and engineering teams throughout the build process.
- Complete quality checks before panels are submitted for testing and inspection.
- Rectify faults or modifications identified during testing.
- Support the maintenance of accurate manufacturing records and documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in electrical panel assembly, wiring, or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Competent in the use of workshop tools, equipment, and basic IT systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements within a workshop environment.
