Job summary

HARLOW COLLEGE is seeking a Teacher Electrical & Multi-Skills to teach full-time level 1 electrical and contribute to multi-trade training up to level 2. No teaching qualification required at start; support will be provided to gain one.

Qualifications

• Assessor (A1) and/or Verifier (V1) qualifications or willingness to work toward them.
• Level 4 or above teaching qualification.
• GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Experience in construction trades and ability to teach electrical at foundation level.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging theory and practical lessons for level 1 electrical students and Multi-Skills provision.
• Prepare, plan and deliver learning sessions that motivate learners of all abilities.
• Provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training to develop industry-ready skills.
• Assess student performance, track progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Support individual learning needs and help remove barriers to learning.
• Create an inclusive learning environment that promotes success and independence.
• Stay current with industry trends, developments and best practice.
