Job summary

Elite Hire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing site in the United Kingdom. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults, and contribute to improving machine reliability on automated lines.

The role requires Level 3 NVQ / HNC or apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, a strong track record in manufacturing, and willingness to work shifts and overtime on site.

Qualifications

• NVQ/HNC/apprenticeship in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven multi-skilled experience in electrical and mechanical work.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good fault-finding on automated equipment.
• Willing to work shift pattern and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Find and fix electrical and mechanical faults quickly to reduce downtime.
• Fault-find on control systems, motors, drives, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Complete preventive maintenance and record work in the CMMS.
• Suggest and deliver improvements to machine reliability.
• Work safely, following lock-out and permit-to-work procedures.
