Job summary

Office Angels in Sandwich, Kent is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our manufacturing engineering team. You will fault-find, diagnose issues and implement effective solutions to maintain equipment reliability on a fast-paced production line.

The role requires a formal engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or higher) and a minimum of five years' experience across electrical and mechanical engineering, including experience with AC/DC motors and VSDs.

Qualifications

• A formal engineering qualification such as an NVQ Level 3 or above.
• Minimum five years' experience across electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Experience with fault-finding and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault-finding and repairs on manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis to identify and prevent recurring issues.
• Respond effectively to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
• Support planned preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Apply engineering knowledge to solve complex technical problems.
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Communicate technical issues, findings and solutions clearly to colleagues and management.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and engineering best practice.
