Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an Engineering Team Leader (Mechanical Bias) to guide an Operational Estates engineering team. The role focuses on directing maintenance activities, supporting technical staff, and driving improvements within a hospital environment.

The successful candidate will have time-served apprenticeship credentials in Electrical/Mechanical or Building Services, and will participate in an on-call rota. Welsh language ability is desirable but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in an engineering environment, preferably hospital settings.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership and technical support to maintenance teams for planned work, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement activities.

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a (Mechanical Bias) enthusiastic self motivated, dynamic Engineering Team Leader and will fit into this very important role within the Operational Estates department. You will provide direction, leadership and technical support to the maintenance teams which are responsible for the completion of planned corrective work, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvement activities.

Main duties of the job

You will be time served with a recognised indentured apprenticeship in Electrical / Mechanical or Building Services HNC/HND or equivalent level of knowledge and/or experience in the Engineering trade.

You will have gained experience within a team leader role and preferably within an hospital environment and have extensive knowledge of Engineering systems.

You will participate in an out of hours on Call rota.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
