Job summary

Transport for London is seeking an experienced Electrical Marine Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and upgrades for Woolwich Ferry vessels and shoreside assets. You will coordinate resources to keep assets available, safe and compliant, driving performance and long-term sustainability.

The role is full-time and based in Woolwich Ferry, with leadership of maintenance teams and a focus on safety, reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical discipline or equivalent essential
• Knowledge of planned maintenance systems and software essential
• ISM code knowledge desirable
• Experience leading maintenance teams essential
• Experience with electrical, electronic and control engineering essential
• Remote monitoring, fault diagnosis & resolution, PLC experience essential
• Maintenance and repair experience essential
• Extensive fault finding and continuous improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management for a team of maintenance engineers
• Establish annual maintenance plans and ensure safe procedures
• Manage budgets and identify efficiency opportunities
• Oversee 2nd tier contractors and external resources
• Participate in on-call duties and capital works planning
