Job summary

Transport for London seeks an experienced Electrical Marine Engineering Manager to lead safe, reliable maintenance of Woolwich Ferry vessels and shoreside assets. You will coordinate resources, manage maintenance plans, and ensure compliance with standards to deliver a dependable ferry service.

You will guide teams, drive continuous improvement, participate in asset lifecycle planning, and lead initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and long-term asset sustainability.

Qualifications

Degree in relevant electrical discipline or equivalent.
Experience leading planned maintenance teams.
Knowledge of planned maintenance systems and software.
Experience with electrical, electronic and control engineering.
Remote monitoring, fault diagnostic & resolution; PLC systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day management for a team of maintenance engineers.
Establish annual maintenance plans and coordinate resources.
Manage budgets and report on activities; identify efficiencies.
Lead on-call duties and respond to incidents.
Input to the capital works plan to refit or replace assets as needed.
