Job description

My client is looking for an Electrical Manufacturing Technician to join them on an initial 12-month basis.

As the Electrical Manufacturing Technician, we are seeking a qualified craftsman with several years of relevant experience in electrical manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be capable of certifying products and possess a versatile skill set, with the ability to apply these skills across various tasks using equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments related to the production, repair, and modification of company products to meet defined build standards and specifications.

Role Details

• Position: Electrical Manufacturing Technician
• Pay: 26.19 - 29.57 per hour via Umbrella
• Location: Stevenage
• Contract: 12 Months
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 37 hours per week
• Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

• Possess experience in electrical wiring and assembly.
• Certify products in line with certification procedures.
• Maintain product certification and approval through regular audits.
• Apply a versatile skill base across various tasks.
• Be fully familiar with all equipment, tools, and measuring instruments used in the manufacturing cycle.
• Ensure manufacturing, inspection, and testing times are met.
• Complete all paperwork related to the manufacturing data pack accurately.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with all manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping.
• Share best practices with team members.

Required Skills and Experience

• Team player with a customer-focused approach.
• Strong planning and organizational skills; flexible and adaptable.
• Formal technical engineering or craft apprenticeship at NVQ Level 3, TR23, TR21, or HNC.
• Experience as a skilled person in electrical manufacturing.
