Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Operative/Technician for our high-quality residential scheme in Canary Wharf, London. This frontline, hands-on role combines planned preventative maintenance with reactive repairs to keep resident accommodation and communal areas safe and well-kept.

You will own a wide range of electrical maintenance tasks, fault-finding, and general building upkeep, working as part of the on-site team and reporting via CAFM/iPad.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical maintenance within residential, commercial, hospitality, facilities management or similar environments.
• Electrical fault finding and planned maintenance experience.
• Good understanding of electrical systems in occupied buildings.
• Ability to perform general maintenance and basic repairs when required.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and customer-service skills.
• Experience with CAFM or digital maintenance systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive electrical repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault finding and first-line repairs to lighting, power, sockets, switches and other electrical systems.
• Maintenance and replacement of light fittings, emergency lighting and related components.
• Investigate faults in resident and communal areas and resolve them where possible.
• Record maintenance activity accurately using CAFM system and iPad; escalate as needed.
• Support external contractors and ensure works are completed safely and to standard.
