Job summary

Klöckner Pentaplast Europe GmbH & Co. KG in St Helens is seeking an Electrically Biased Multi Skilled Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will maintain assets, drive reliability improvements, and support TPM across the site.

Ideal candidates have mechanical and electrical expertise, experience with PLCs, pneumatics and hydraulics, and a strong safety mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Proven experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Able to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Good PLC knowledge.
• FLT license and MEWP certification.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain an HSHE culture and follow site procedures.
• Respond to production breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose faults and identify root causes; implement long-term solutions.
• Identify and implement improvements to equipment and processes.
• Complete planned Asset Care and TPM activities.
• Support and lead engineering projects and site improvements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
