Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talent Services Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support some of the UK’s most exciting attractions in a unique outdoor environment. Based in Surrey, you will work on rollercoasters, water rides and ride control systems, performing inspections, preventive maintenance and fault finding to ensure safety and reliability for thousands of guests daily.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, automation or similar engineering environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic capability.
• Hands-on approach with problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily safety inspections, testing and pre-opening checks across electrical systems and attractions.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance to maximise reliability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using a logical, methodical approach.
• Respond to breakdowns and operational issues quickly and effectively.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and automated systems.
• Work across rollercoasters, water rides, and electrical infrastructure.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and manuals.
• Complete maintenance records and compliance documentation.

We're looking for anElectrical Maintenance Technicianto join a specialist engineering team responsible for the reliability, safety and performance of some of the UK's most iconic attractions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Carrying out daily safety inspections, testing and pre opening checks across a wide range of electrical systems and attractions
• Completing planned preventative maintenance activities to maximise reliability and performance
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults using a logical and methodical approach
• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns and operational issues
• Maintaining and troubleshooting PLC controlled equipment and automated systems
• Working across rollercoasters, water rides, themed attractions and electrical infrastructure
• Collaborating with mechanical engineers and operational teams to ensure attractions remain safe and available
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings and manuals
• Accurately completing maintenance records and compliance documentation

What We're Looking For

• Experience within electrical maintenance, manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, automation or similar engineering environments
• Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic capability
• A hands on approach with excellent problem solving skills
• The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Level 3 qualification or above in an Electrical Engineering discipline
• Experience of PLCs, control systems, automation or industrial electrical systems would be advantageous.
