Job summary

Jackson Hogg are supporting our client with the appointment of 2 Electrical Maintenance Technicians on a permanent basis. This is a shift role, working 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off, 12 hour shifts with 12% shift allowance.

You will carry out preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on heavy industrial equipment, troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical systems, and read complex schematics while contributing to continuous improvement in a large-scale engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial electrical maintenance within a heavy engineering environment.
• AC and DC motors, drives and associated control systems.
• Variable speed drives, soft starters, inverters and rectifiers.
• Electromechanical equipment including actuators, thrusters and solenoids.
• Electrical switching and protection devices.
• Industrial communication networks such as Profibus, Profinet, CANbus, AS-i Bus or Fibre Optics.
• PLC systems and industrial automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, fault diagnosis and repairs on critical heavy industrial equipment.
• Troubleshooting complex electrical and electromechanical systems to maximise equipment availability and reliability.
• Working with electrical power distribution systems, motors, drives, control systems and industrial communications networks
• Diagnosing faults efficiently and implementing safe, effective solutions with minimal operational disruption.
• Reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and operational efficiency.
