Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) for a Northampton area manufacturing site. The role offers a stable career path with regular overtime and strong earnings potential, including a base rate plus 7.5 hours overtime paid at 1.5x.

The position involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on conveyors, motors and gearboxes, performing PPMS, and driving continuous improvement while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical fault finding on production equipment.
• Experience with conveyors, motors and gearboxes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical fault finding on manufacturing equipment (Conveyors, Motors, Gearboxes).
• Performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Diagnosing and repairing production machinery breakdowns.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Working to maximise plant efficiency and uptime.
