Energy Jobline ZR seeks an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for a day shift role in Dursley. You will maintain plant and equipment, handle planned and reactive maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime.

You’ll work with production to improve reliability and drive continuous improvement, owning electrical systems and safety standards. Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Competenze

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or time served.
• Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing automated equipment & processes including pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation-controlled systems.
• PLCs desirable and SAP experience helpful.

Mansioni

Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Dursley, GL11

Are you an Electrically biased or Multi Skilled Shift Engineer who is looking for a role with no nights and only 1 in 3 weekends? Are you looking for a role that is focused on planned maintenance with minimal downtime? Can you diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues?

The Role

You will be responsible for keeping our plant and equipment running safely and efficiently, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns to minimise downtime. Working closely with the Production team, you'll help improve equipment reliability, reduce waste and drive continuous improvement across the site. You'll take ownership of electrical systems, ensure safety standards are met, and support root‑cause investigations following significant breakdowns. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. This is a shift‑based role (NO NIGHTS), reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Experience / Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 qualified or similar or time served with proven experience
• Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing automated equipment & processes including pneumatic, hydraulic, and instrumentation-controlled systems
• Strong diagnostic experience gained in high volume manufacturing or process environmentExperience within a similar role ideally gained within a food manufacturing environment, if not food, experience within any manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
• Electrically biased, or multi-skilled.
• PLC experience highly desirable.
• Experience of SAP highly desirable.
