Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Banbury is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain production equipment, respond to breakdowns and perform planned preventative maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with engineers, operators and team leaders to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and support efficient production across shift patterns.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Time-served or apprentice-trained Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
• Recognised Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintains production equipment and responds to breakdowns.
• Carries out planned preventative maintenance to keep machinery safe and reliable.
• Works with Engineers, Operators and Team Leaders to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability.

ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Banbury

Salary: £60,000

Shift: 4 Shift – 6am–2pm, 8am–4pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am

Night Shift: Sunday–Thursday

Other Shifts: Monday–Friday

Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

BRAND NEW exciting opportunity has just arisen for a motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established and growing engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Maintenance Engineer to work within a modern, fast-paced environment where engineering reliability, safety and continuous improvement are key priorities.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to ensure machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.

You will work closely with Engineers, Operators and Team Leaders to minimise downtime, improve equipment reliability and support efficient production.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Time-served or apprentice-trained Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
• Recognised Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience carrying out planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance within a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience.
• Experience working safely with risk assessments and LOTOTO procedures.

Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Hands-on electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to carry out both electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
• Good understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proactive, practical and reliable approach to maintenance.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to complete maintenance, breakdown and PPM documentation accurately.

Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within the UK.
• PLC fault-finding experience.
• Experience working with electrical drives.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Experience sourcing replacement parts or engineering services.
• Experience within a high-speed production environment.
