Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading healthcare campus in Surrey. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex hospital electrical systems on a Monday–Friday schedule, with no call outs. The role offers good training and progression within a modern, state-of-the-art facility.

You will be part of a small team and ensure compliance with hospital policies and national electrical codes while supporting critical areas of the site.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds 18th Edition required.
• Level 3 electrical installations qualification.
• Experience in hospital/medical facility or critical-care environment preferred.
• HV or LV knowledge is not essential but beneficial.
• General knowledge of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hospital electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and control systems.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical panels, switch gear, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Report to line manager with any issues.
• Escort sub-contractors around the site.
• Maintain and test emergency power systems, including generators, UPS units, and ATS.
• Respond to electrical faults that impact critical areas such as operating rooms, ICU, and labs.
• Reactive works on air handling units, fan coil units.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, outages, and repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with hospital policies, national electrical codes, and healthcare facility regulations.
