Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrician) to join a global leading company offering mechanical solutions. The role is based in Huddersfield and involves electrical maintenance across a busy manufacturing site.

You will perform reactive and planned maintenance, fault-finding, and installations within a multi-skilled team, with core hours and flexible working where applicable. 12-month FTC with potential for permanency and excellent benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification, such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Time-served electrician or equivalent industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience working with three-phase electrical systems and industrial control panels.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on industrial electrical systems and site infrastructure.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults throughout the manufacturing facility.
• Maintain and repair power distribution systems, including panels, switch gear, motors, and control circuits.
• Replace and repair electrical components such as contactors, relays, sensors, motors and cabling.
• Support the installation, modification and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
• Carry out routine inspections, testing and planned preventive maintenance.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report defects or improvement opportunities.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant regulations, standards and site health and safety procedures.
• Work alongside the mechanical, plumbing and facilities maintenance team.
• Support external contractors during site works and shutdowns.
• Participate in emergency breakdown response and on-call rotas where required.
