Job summary

RecruitME is seeking an electrically qualified Engineer to join a premier venue’s Facilities team. The role blends electrical maintenance with general facilities work, including providing electrical support for concerts, sporting events and large public gatherings.

Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you’ll keep building services safe and fully operational, covering planned and reactive maintenance, temporary supplies for events, and visible hands-on technical delivery during live nights.

Qualifications

  • Electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Experience working across multiple engineering or maintenance disciplines.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
  • Completing electrical installations and infrastructure improvements.
  • Installing and managing temporary electrical supplies for events.
  • Supporting event power and audio-visual requirements.
  • Managing technical delivery during sporting fixtures and event nights.
  • Completing general non-electrical maintenance and PPM tasks.
  • Taking responsibility for designated electrical systems and assets.

This is a rare opportunity to join the Facilities team at one of the UKs leading sporting and live entertainment venues. Alongside planned and reactive maintenance, youll support temporary electrical installations, event power and technical delivery for concerts, sporting fixtures and major public events.

Its a genuinely varied position combining electrical engineering, general facilities maintenance, event support and responsibility during live event nights.

The Role

Working alongside the Facilities Manager, you will help keep the venue, infrastructure and building services safe, reliable and fully operational.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Completing electrical installations and infrastructure improvements
  • Installing and managing temporary electrical supplies for events
  • Supporting event power and audio-visual requirements
  • Managing technical delivery during sporting fixtures and event nights
  • Completing general non-electrical maintenance and PPM tasks
  • Taking responsibility for designated electrical systems and assets
What Were Looking For

You will be an experienced Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer who can work confidently within a busy public venue.

You will need:

  • An electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Previous electrical maintenance or installation experience
  • Experience working across multiple engineering or maintenance disciplines
  • Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance
  • A good understanding of workplace health and safe

The 40-hour working week requires flexibility and will include days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays according to the event schedule.
