Role Overview

REED Engineering and Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Mnaufactuirng compamy who have grown at a rapid pace.

Join a leading global manufacturer renowned for producing high-quality electrical equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic and growing company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive Maintenance
    • Diagnose and resolve electrical breakdowns promptly.
    • Perform repairs, fault finding, fuse changes, and loading parameters.
    • Maintain and repair drive boards, including program loading parameters.
    • Test thermocouples and save system information.
    • Examine and maintain various motors including AC, DC SERVO, and brush gear motors.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
    • Collaborate with production teams to plan and execute PPM activities.
    • Ensure timely and effective completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
    • Contribute to the development of maintenance schedules to optimize production efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant electrical qualification etc
  • Preferably experienced with extrusion machines.
  • Skilled in examining, testing, fault finding, and maintaining drive boards, PLCs, relays, contactors, wiring systems, and motors.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • The position also includes a bonus of around £3,000 on top of the annual salary
