Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (electrically biased) for a prestigious City of London office. The role offers a 4 on/4 off days pattern, with on-site responsibilities including electrical and general maintenance across building services.

You will work closely with the on-site team on planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring high standards, logbooks, and audit-ready records. Salary ranges from £50,000 to £53,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualifications: Level 3 NVQ or City & Guilds equivalent.
• 18th Edition electrical qualification.
• Multi-skilled with electrical bias.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally in City offices.
• Client-facing and presentable.
• Hard-working, honest and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative and reactive maintenance across all building services.
• Electrical maintenance and fault-finding: small power, lighting, distribution boards.
• Emergency lighting and fire alarm testing.
• HVAC: AHUs, FCUs, chillers and pumps.
• BMS monitoring and responding to alarms.
• Water hygiene tasks and tap temperatures.
• Plumbing and general fabric repairs.
• Responding to helpdesk requests from occupiers.
• Supervising sub-contractors and managing permits to work.
• Keeping logbooks, reports and job records up to date and audit-ready.

An opportunity has arisen with an established FM service provider in central London.

CBW Staffing Solutions is recruiting an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer for a prestigious commercial office building in the City of London, close to Bank and Moorgate stations. You will be part of the on-site engineering team, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the building, with a focus on electrical work. You will have a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a high-end City office environment. In return, the company is offering a salary of £50,000 to £53,000 per annum, depending on experience.
