Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician in the Goole area (Brough commutable) to support heavy plant operations. The role involves maintaining heavy equipment, conveyors, robotics, and PLC-based systems on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights).

The successful candidate will perform reactive and preventative maintenance, drive troubleshooting of VSDs and PLCs, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Level 3+ Electrical qualifications.
• Experience in reactive & PPM electrical maintenance in industrial/heavy manufacturing environments.
• PLC fault finding experience; PLC programming skills are useful.
• Experience with VSD drives is beneficial.
• Siemens PLC experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical motors and pneumatics.
• Willingness to learn and share knowledge within a team.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery (conveyors, robotics, etc.).
• Work through planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide reactive maintenance and quickly resolve breakdowns to restart production.
• Handle VSD drives and PLC systems as part of daily tasks.
