Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery and electrical systems. You will be responsible for planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs, helping to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical maintenance on production machinery and site equipment.
Conduct fault finding and diagnosis on breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and service checks.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs using the company s CMMS system.
Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Skills & Experience
Recognized electrical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, or equivalent).
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or food production environment.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of PLC systems, motor controls, and automation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing setting.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Experience working within a food manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of refrigeration, steam, and pneumatics.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing.
