Job summary

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role based in Rotherham. Immediate start available subject to interview process, with a salary of 47,957 per annum dependent on experience.

You will perform a mix of planned preventative maintenance and rapid reactive breakdown response to maximise uptime on production machinery, including PLCs and control panels, while upholding health and safety standards across site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding skills including PLCs and automated systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical faults on automated manufacturing machinery.
• Execute planned maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Work on PLC systems (fault finding and basic programming modifications).
• Maintain AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and control panels.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to resolve multidisciplinary equipment issues.
• Uphold strict health and safety standards across the site.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency of our production machinery. You will handle a mix of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and rapid reactive breakdown response.

• Work on PLC systems (fault finding and basic programming modifications).

• Uphold strict health and safety standards across the site at all times.
