Are you a Multi Skilled Engineer looking for a role where your engineering skills genuinely make a difference?

This is an opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment in Northampton, working as part of an experienced maintenance team supporting the reliability and performance of the site.

You’ll be responsible for a mix of planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement, working closely with production to keep equipment running efficiently. The role suits an engineer who enjoys getting to the root cause of problems rather than simply fixing the immediate issue.

The Role
  • Planned preventative and reactive maintenance across site equipment
  • Fault finding on HMIs, PLCs, DCS and SCADA systems
  • Supporting production to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
  • Completing maintenance records and identifying root causes
  • Improving repair times, reliability and engineering KPIs
  • Supporting continuous improvement and plant efficiency projects
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene and food safety
  • Working alongside contractors and the wider maintenance team

The ideal candidate will be an apprentice-trained Electrical or Mechanical Multi Skilled Engineer, qualified to Level 3 / City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3. Experience with instrument calibration, CMMS and preventative/predictive maintenance is important, with food manufacturing experience particularly valuable.

Package
  • 3 on / 2 off day shift, 06:00-18:00
  • 4% pension contribution from day one, increasing to 10% with matching
  • 4x salary life assurance
  • 24 shifts holiday, including Bank Holidays
  • Medical expenses cover
Why Consider It?

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants strong earning potential, a consistent shift pattern and the chance to work across both electrical and mechanical engineering.

You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team, working on a broad range of engineering challenges while having a direct impact on plant reliability, efficiency and continuous improvement.
