Job summary

Kingston Barnes Ltd is seeking an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer for a leading FMCG manufacturer in Gainsborough. You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on advanced machinery, uphold safety standards, and drive improvements across the plant.

The role requires an engineering background (HNC/City & Guilds or time‑served) and experience in manufacturing maintenance, preferably in food production.

Qualifications

• Engineering background (HNC, City & Guilds, or time‑served apprenticeship).
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing setting, preferably in food production.
• Electrically biased with exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Flexible, collaborative, solution‑focused mindset.
• Familiarity with SAP (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on state‑of‑the‑art machinery.

Kingston Barnes is recruiting a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients in Gainsborough. Our client is a leading manufacturer in the FMCG industry, supplying their products to multiple other manufacturers.

Role

• Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on state‑of‑the‑art machinery.
• Uphold health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments and implementing effective controls.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, minimize downtime, and contribute to improvement projects.
• Maintain detailed records, including PM sheets and system logs, to support seamless operations.

Candidate

• A strong engineering background (HNC, City & Guilds, or time‑served apprenticeship).
• Proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing setting, preferably in food production.
• Electrically biased with exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• A flexible approach and a collaborative, solution‑focused mindset.
• Familiarity with SAP systems (desirable).

Salary / Benefits

• £51,623
• Matched pension contributions up to 10%.

• 25 days of leave plus shutdown on Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
• 4‑on, 4‑off shifts (6 am–6 pm, 2 days, followed by 2 nights).
