Job summary

Auxo Group is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for its two-site FMCG manufacturing operations in Grassington and Keighley. The role focuses on electrical-biased maintenance of plant and machinery to keep production safe, compliant, and efficient.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults, and support improvement projects across sites while ensuring food safety and health & safety standards are met. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

Apprentice-trained Electrical Engineer, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
5+ years' manufacturing experience, ideally FMCG.
Full UK driving licence and own transport.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventive maintenance across plant, machinery and site services.
Diagnose faults and repair production equipment to minimise downtime.
Maintain, repair and improve plant, machinery and services; install and commission new equipment as required.
Support engineering and continuous improvement projects across two sites.
Electrical fault-finding on automated equipment and PLC-controlled systems; work on electro-mechanical systems to ensure safe operation.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to sustain efficient manufacturing operations.

Job description

Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a successful, family-run food manufacturing business based across Grassington and Keighley? You will be electrically biased and have experience working within a manufacturing environment. As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving plant, machinery and services to ensure production runs safely and efficiently. Offering £21.26 per hour (£48,640 per annum), working a 48-hour week over 4 days, with 24 days annual leave and additional company benefits.

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer your role will involve:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across plant, machinery and site services
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on production equipment to minimise downtime
Maintaining, repairing and improving plant, machinery and associated services
Installing and commissioning new equipment as required
Supporting engineering and continuous improvement projects across both sites
Carrying out electrical fault-finding, repairs and maintenance on automated equipment
Diagnosing and resolving faults within PLC-controlled systems
Working on automated electro-mechanical systems to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably
Ensuring all maintenance activities meet food safety and health and safety standards
Working closely with production and engineering teams to support efficient manufacturing operations

Hours of work:

48 hours per week over 4 days, working a rotating 3-week pattern;
