Salary: £45,230 Basic pay per annum (potential earnings up to £57,668 detailed below in shift pattern information)

GPW Recruitment is partnering with Ford Halewood Transmissions Ltd (FHTL) in Halewood. Ford is investing £450m into the Halewood site to produce electric power units, making it the first site to manufacture EV components in Europe.

FHTL is seeking Electrical Maintenance Engineers to support the business. These engineers play a pivotal role in maintaining and repairing production machinery, assembly lines, and equipment to ensure maximum operational uptime, adhering to all relevant procedures to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental objectives.

Salary Details
  • Basic annual salary: £45,230
  • Includes a 35% premium on all allocated holidays; 33 days holidays per year (25 vacation & 8 bank holidays).
Shift Pattern Information

FHTL operates various shift patterns aligned with production requirements, including day shift, 3-shift, 2-shift, 6DC & 7DC patterns. All shifts except day shift include a shift premium. Potential earnings with a 3-shift pattern can reach up to £57,668 per year. Working specific shifts or achieving maximum earnings is not guaranteed.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Recognised Engineering Craft Apprenticeship and ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
  • PC literate, able to work under pressure, team player, multitasker with a proactive attitude
  • Previous experience in electrical maintenance, fault-finding, diagnosis on pneumatics, hydraulics, servo motors & drives, spindles, encoders, ABB & FANUC Robots, PLC, CNC machines, and assembly lines (preferably)
  • Understanding of Profibus systems
  • Experience with Siemens S7 PLC, Solution line, Power Line, 840D, and Automation Drive (training available)
Key Responsibilities
  • Fault-finding and diagnosis on Siemens PLC-controlled equipment
  • Planned preventative maintenance on pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, CNC machines, and robots
  • Recording all work undertaken
  • Analyzing and resolving electrical faults, driving continuous improvement
  • Following safety procedures and risk assessments
  • Collaborating with other engineers, vendors, and production teams to ensure optimal uptime and improvements
Work Pattern

Working days are Monday to Friday, with weekend work and overtime as needed. Proposed start date is ASAP based on personal availability.
