Job summary

Marshalls plc in Pollington, Goole, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to keep the production lines running by fault finding and maintaining electrical equipment on site. The role operates on a Monday–Friday shift pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) with a salary of £49,404 per annum plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Qualified with electrical trade experience and at least NVQ 3 or equivalent.
• Apprentice trained with 18th edition wiring regulations preferred.
• Experience in PLC fault finding and robotics advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous production through fault finding and maintenance on site.
• Carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance of systems.
• Read technical drawings and work with hydraulics and pneumatics where needed.

So, what's the mission?
Working as part of the team, your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating engineering downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment reactive engineering activities on site.
What are the mission critical skills?

• A strong electrical working knowledge with some mechanical experience
• The ideal applicant will be a qualified, time served in a similar position ideally at NVQ 3 level
• Ideally apprentice trained and qualified to the 18th edition wiring regulations
• PLC fault finding skills would be a distinct advantage
• Working knowledge of robots and automated process plant & machinery
• Experience in mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining would be an advantage
• Experienced in reactive and planned maintenance of electrical systems controlling hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors etc.), and able to read technical drawings
